Itinerary

Day 1. Kilimanjaro airport to KIA Lodge.

Our friendly representative will pick you up from Kilimanjaro Airport, and take you to Kilimanjaro Lodge ( KIA Lodge) located just 5 minutes from the airport, one of the best places to catch views of Mount Kilimanjaro. If you are to arrive before noon, you might catch the beautiful views of the snow caped Kilimanjaro at sundown. Dinner and overnight at Kia Lodge.

Day 2. Game drive in Arusha national park with canoeing in Momella lake

You will wake up early in the morning for a beautiful sunrise and brilliant views of Mt Kilimanjaro. After breakfast, you will drive to Arusha Park gate, then begin your first African game drive Safari. Your experienced guide will make sure he shares his intimate understanding of this parks wildlife as you enjoy the sight of African wild animals going about with their daily activities. Lunch will be taken at Hatari Lodge, a luxury bush hotel inside the park located close to the setting of the Legendary movie Hatari, with great views of both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.

Later after lunch, you will leave for a guided canoe ride on the small Momela Lake, an exciting experience in the park travelling on water with up-close views of Buffalos, Waterbucks and Giraffes. In the evening drive to Momela Lodge, located inside the park with great Views of landscapes and Animals. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 3-4. game drive and wilderness walk in lake Manyara national park.

After breakfast at 0800hrs you will leave the camp and start driving to Lake Manyara National Park. The best time to do nature walks in Manyara Park is in the late morning. You will Pick a ranger at the park’s gate then drive to a spot where you begin your walk. Enjoy an exhilarating walk as you anticipate what drama the wilderness could have in store for this day. The park has more than 400 different species of birds, for bird lovers this is the best way to get a closer view of the African birds. A traditional African Lunch will follow, whereby you will drive to Mto wa Mbu. Later after lunch you will return to Manyara Park to do an afternoon game drive until evening then drive to Endoro Lodge. You will enjoy your evening tea/coffee from the privacy of your own Chalet’s Balcony as you await a delicious 3 course dinner.

Day 5. Nature walk empakai crater in Ngorongoro conservation area.

A very early wakeup call will be followed by a fulfilling breakfast, then you will start your drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area. The Conservation area has three Volcanic craters, the largest being the Ngorongoro crater, followed by Empakai crater of which you will be visiting today. With a ranger, you will begin a rewarding Nature walk passing through a lush forest with animals such as Buffalos, and variety of African birds, to the crater floor of Empakai. Inside the crater you will take a stroll along the shores of the Empakai Lake attractively decorated by pink feathered Flamingoes, an extraordinary experience of tranquillity in a wild spot not so often visited by humans. You will then proceed to visit the Maasai people to learn more about their culture including the ways in which they have managed to co-exist with wild animals for over three hundred years. Once you are finished with the Maasai tour you will drive to Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge which boasts for its privileged location on the crater rim, for an early dinner and a good night rest.

Day 6. Game drive in Ngorongoro crater.

Awaken to rewarding uninterrupted views of the Ngorongoro crater from the comfort of your room. After an early breakfast you will drive the Ngorongoro crater for an early game drive. A world heritage site, Ngorongoro crater is one of the few wildlife areas where you can spot the almost extinct black Rhino. You will enjoy the game drive as your knowledgeable guide explains in details about the wildlife and the crater. Picnic lunch will be taken near the hippo pool then an hour of game drive will follow. Early afternoon you will proceed with a drive up the crater wall back to Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge. Enjoy a refreshing drink from the Rhino Lounge’s wide terrace while looking at the breath-taking views of the crater. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 7. Game drive Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge / night game drive.

Enjoy your breakfast in the Lodge’s panoramic restaurant before embarking on yet another exciting wilderness experience. You will drive to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Conservation area. On the way you will pay a visit to Olduvai Gorge, widely recognized as the cradle of Human kind and one of the most important historic sites in the world. You will then proceed to Serengeti park with your packed lunch, do an afternoon game drive in the Seronera area enrooted to Ikoma Tented bush camp. The camp is strategically situated along the path of the migratory wildebeest, giving the visitors a chance to experience the greatest wildlife show on earth during the migration season. Today you will take an early dinner so as to prepare yourself for a night game drive. Seek to find the elusive nocturnal wildlife such as the Leopard and Bat-eared fox, later return to your tent for a goodnight sleep.

Day 8. Morning game walk, game drive in Serengeti park including sunset game drive.

Wake up early in the morning for a breathtaking sunrise over the endless Serengeti savannah planes. Your game walk will start soon after with an experienced game Ranger, an unforgettable intimate wilderness experience followed by an “Out of Africa” bush breakfast.

You will then continue with game drive in Serengeti park, arguably one of the best parks in Africa. Your experienced and knowledgeable guide will take the western corridor route for your game drive today. The western corridor is a remote and unique part of the Serengeti park, where you may be the only human audience when a pride of lions makes a kill. During the wildebeest migration season, you also may witness one of the most exciting wilderness live actions on earth, as thousands of wildebeests try to cross crocodile infested Grumeti river. At lunch hours you will drive to Kirawira Luxury tented camp, for a delicious 3 course lunch, then later proceed for an evening and sunset game drive. Your day ends in another exciting night at Mbalageti Safari Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Packed Lunch and Dinner

Day 9. Game drive in Serengeti en route to lake Eyasi.

After an early breakfast, you will do your last morning game drive in Serengeti park, take last few game photos and seek out the wildlife you have not seen yet. On your way to Lake Eyasi, you will stop for a Lunch break at Ngorongoro Farm House. Enjoy an appetizing buffet lunch with plenty of food choices. After lunch and a short rest, you will continue with your drive south west of Ngorongoro to Kisima Ngeda Camp, located on a beautiful natural palm-and-acacia lake shore forest. At Camp, relax with a refreshing drink in the privacy of your veranda while enjoying the beautiful views of the Lake and the surrounding natural beauty. An under-canvas dinner will be followed by an early restful night amid the serene natural palm-and-acacia forest.

DAY 10. Hunting with Hadzabe Bushmen.

You will wake up early and welcomed with the whispering winds of Lake Eyasi, you will prepare for an early breakfast. After breakfast you will start heading to the Hadzabe tribe community, one of the few remaining true hunters and gatherers, for an authentic African cultural experience. Learn how to make traditional bows and arrows, make a traditional fire, hunt with the men or gather fruits, berries and honey with the women. You will then return to Kisima Ngeda Camp for Lunch before you depart to Arusha Safari Lodge, a small secluded Safari heaven on the outskirts of Arusha town for a quiet and peaceful night.

Day 11. Breakfast at Arusha safari lodge then to airport.

After a leisurely breakfast, our driver will drive you back to the Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport. Leaving with unforgettable memories of a true African Safari Experience.
